Job Description
As a Data Strategy Consultant, you will play a key role in transforming businesses into data-driven businesses. Working closely with the DSGA (Data Strategy, Governance, and Analytics) team, you’ll combine technical expertise, analytical skills, and strategic thinking to ensure data aligns seamlessly with our clients’ goals.
We are seeking a motivated Data Strategy Consultant to join our team, where you will take ownership of projects with help from senior team members to research, design, and implement data strategy solutions. These solutions aim to align with business goals and contexts, ultimately driving digital transformation across various business sectors, focusing on the public sector.
About Data Strategy
Data Strategy is the core framework we use to guide clients in transforming into data-driven enterprises, defining the scope where data governance plays a critical role. Our methodology follows three distinct phases:
Contextualization: Analyzing the organization's current landscape, including data maturity, data inventory, and strategic business goals.
Ideation: Identifying impactful data and AI use cases through Design Thinking principles.
Prescription: Translating use cases and strategy into actionable planning and roadmaps, and driving the implementation of selected initiatives.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in all three phases, identifying data-driven opportunities and driving the actual implementation of data strategies within real-world organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Client Consultation: Consult with clients to identify business pain points and support the research and design of data strategy solutions across all phases, from contextualization to implementation.
Project Ownership: Take ownership of the project deliverables, including business analysis, solution design, data and AI use case ideation, and consultation presentation slides, with guidance from senior team members.
Team Collaboration: Assist senior team members in consultation, solution development, report writing, and data strategy framework development.
Solution Design: Analyze business processes to identify data-driven opportunities, particularly in data management and AI use cases, to provide tailored solutions in data and AI.
Report Writing & Deliverables: Crafting of key deliverables and write professional reports for clients, ensuring strategic insights and project outcomes are clearly communicated and documented.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate in and lead stakeholder interviews and research activities to gather insights and contribute to the formulation of data strategy plans.
Data Governance Implementation: Support the data governance team in the adaptation and integration of data governance standards, including DAMA and Thai government guidelines, into data strategy use cases.
Qualifications
Education: Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Economics, Statistics, or related fields. (Master's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience is preferred for the Consultant level)
Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of data and AI technologies, such as machine learning, deep learning, large language models, agentic AI, data warehouse / lakehouse technologies, or related areas.
Problem Solving: Strong logical thinking skills to break down contexts and goals into actionable solutions.
Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and consult with clients.
Mindset: Eagerness to learn and grow within the data strategy, governance, and analytics field, with a focus on data and AI transformation.
Mobility: Ability to commute to client sites (mostly around the Bangkok area) to update work progress and deliver project outcomes as required.
Preferred Skills
Ability to break down requirements into presentation slides, similar to case competitions or startup pitches.
Familiarity with data and AI technologies.
Experience in case competitions, startup building, or hackathons are a plus.
Knowledge of technical development, such as programming, AI model development, database design, and cloud services, is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
